Wedding ceremony with live guitar by Sergio De Gouveia
Ceremony · Miami & South Florida

Your ceremony, song by song.

Prelude, processional, recessional and the first minutes of the cocktail hour, on live Spanish guitar, with the sound and microphones the vows deserve.

In short. Sergio De Gouveia plays live Spanish and classical guitar for wedding ceremonies across Miami and South Florida: prelude, processional, recessional and the first minutes of the cocktail hour, with a professional sound system and wireless microphones for the officiant and vows. Guitar only for a ceremony starts at $500; The Ceremony collection starts at $2,000.

The ceremony, song by song

Four moments, each with its own music.

i.

Prelude

Twenty to thirty minutes as guests arrive and take their seats. Classical and Mediterranean pieces at a volume that lets people talk, played from a spot that does not block the aisle or the photographer.

ii.

Processional

Your entrance songs, arranged for nylon-string guitar and timed to the walk, not the recording. Most couples choose two: one for the wedding party, one for the bride or the couple.

iii.

Recessional and exit

Something brighter to send you back up the aisle, then straight into the first cocktail-hour set so there is never silence while guests move.

Up to three of your requests are arranged for the ceremony inside The Ceremony collection. Flamenco, classical, Latin and modern songs all translate to the instrument; if you are unsure whether a song works on solo guitar, ask and Sergio will tell you honestly.

Sound, handled

The part couples forget until the vows.

Outdoor ceremonies in South Florida fight wind, water and traffic. Every Sigano ceremony includes a professional sound system set for the space and wireless microphones for the officiant and your vows, so the people in the last row hear what the people in the first row hear.

Sergio arrives early, sets up out of sight, and coordinates timing with your planner or officiant before guests are seated.

Questions people ask

Before you check your date.

How long does a wedding ceremony guitarist play?

Typically 20 to 30 minutes of prelude, the processional, the recessional and the first cocktail-hour set. The Ceremony collection covers all of it; guitar only is booked by the hour.

Can you play our processional song on guitar?

Almost always. Classical, flamenco, Latin and modern songs are rearranged for nylon-string guitar, and up to three requests are included. If a song does not translate well, Sergio will say so and suggest an alternative.

Do you bring sound for an outdoor ceremony?

Yes, in The Ceremony collection: a professional system set for the space and wireless microphones for the officiant and vows. Guitar-only bookings are unamplified.

Do you perform the ceremony in Spanish?

Sergio performs and MCs in English, Spanish or both. The repertoire includes songs in Portuguese, French and Italian.

Which venues have you played ceremonies at?
