Sergio playing live Spanish guitar at a cocktail hour
Cocktail hour · Miami & South Florida

Present enough to notice. Quiet enough to talk over.

Roaming Spanish guitar for the cocktail hour, played by the artist who can also carry the rest of the night.

In short. Live Spanish guitar at conversational volume for the cocktail hour: present enough to notice, quiet enough to talk over. Sergio roams among your guests or plays from one spot, reads the room as it fills, and can move straight into a bilingual DJ set when dinner and dancing begin. Guitar only starts at $500 for one or two hours.

How the hour is played

Classical as they arrive. Latin as the energy lifts.

The cocktail hour has a shape. Guests arrive in ones and twos, find a drink, find their table. The set follows that: classical and Mediterranean pieces first, then rumba flamenca, bossa nova and Spanish-guitar arrangements of the songs your guests know, as the room fills and the volume of conversation rises.

Roaming is the difference. A guitarist who moves between groups turns background music into a moment people photograph. Sergio does both: a fixed position when the terrace or the photographer needs it, roaming when the crowd does.

Questions people ask

Before you check your date.

Is a cocktail hour guitarist too quiet for a big crowd?

No. Sergio scales the sound to the space, from unamplified on a small terrace to a professional system for a hundred and fifty guests, and keeps it at a level that lets conversation happen.

Can guests request songs during the cocktail hour?

Yes. The repertoire runs from Paco de Lucía to Celia Cruz, and Sergio takes requests on the spot when they suit the room.

Do you also do cocktail hours for corporate events?

Yes. See corporate events. The same conversational-volume set works for client dinners and receptions.

Where do you perform?

Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, from Key West to Jupiter, and destination events on request.
